Hello Friends,

Currently, we are in NW Gateway 7.4 SP08. When I logged into launchpad, I can click on Add Group Name. But, I am not able to see the tiles or add tiles. Please find below screenshot and help me to resolve this.

Hi Srikanth,

Please login with admin URL :

https://<hostname>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_upb_admn/main.html?sap-client=100&sap-language=EN

1. You will see all the catalogs on the left side

2. You can add the catalogs to groups option in the top left and need to map it to PFCG for role.

3. If you want to create a new tile , you need to create a new catalog by clicking on + icon below.

In case you feel any issues , go through this troubleshooting blog :

Hi, Srikanth.

Did you activate the /UI2/TRANSPORT on /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE transaction?

Did you assign the SAP_UI2_ADMIN_700 to the Admin User?

Hi Srikanth,

I believe you are facing Authorization problems.

After you implement and activate the desired APP, you must assign required *BRC* Roles to your user profile.

For Approve Leave Requests APP, you should have assigned the SAP_HCM_BRC_MANAGER_X1 Role.

For Approve Purchase Contracts APP, you should have assigned the SAP_MM_BRC_Buyer_X1 Role.

...

Check the App Implementation page of your chosen APP for required Auth and Roles...

Hi Murilo,

Thanks for the reply. I have added the specific roles to app and because of some cache it was giving error in admin URL.

Now, when I logged into launchpad I am getting "Failure - Unable to start App".

Network element - error

Gateway error log

Hi Srikanth,

Issue might be with the user you are using to access the launchpad. Please see if he has proper roles in gateway as well as backend.

Username should exist in gateway as well as backend system.

Please show roles snapshot in gw system and backend system from SU01.

Hi Srikanth,

Make sure your Chips are correct and valid,

1) Launch transaction /UI2/CHIP, F4, chose any chip for example Applauncher Static/Dyanamic

2) Click on the Check button, available on the top

3) If there are any errors -

4) Goto Se38 - > /UI2/CHIP_SYNCHRONIZE_CACHE , run this report program and retry Step 1,

if there is an error in the chip, you will not see any tiles,

Cheers,

Babu

Hi Babu,

Initially, the tile was not showing correctly and error was coming and once we did above steps, it started showing tiles.

But, now the issue is when I enter as User and click on Approve Purchase Requisition, I am getting error "Unable to start app". When I checked the error log in gateway client, getting error and posted error screenshots in my earlier reply.

1. "No service found for namespace , name sra001_pcapproval, version 0001"

2.  Back-end error occurred "T100 Info:GBAPP_APV_MSG-013"

We checked the services and it is active. Are we missing any notes?

Hi Manisha,

Kindly check whether the /ui2/transport service is active and is added in /iwfnd/maint_Service. If yes please check the software version of it. Should be of form /iwpgw/bwf.

hi Tejas,

Yes it was already activated and i added it to /iwfnd/maint_Service. Now actually, it doesnt give me this error, while launching the designer i selected the current client instead of cross client from SPRO and this error went away. But i still cant find the tiles and app that i added from here on the launchpad.

the roles are assigned.

Even though i followed the steps from
