Hi Alex,
You are right. It was released under 24 hours ago and people didin't had time yesterday to inform all parties. So, the official newsletter is coming soon.
Below some good to know items of SP9 release:
- SAP note number 2181114, as always it is highly recommended to read release note document.
- SP9 level Application Helps are available in http://help.sap.com/contact-center70
- SP9 introduces new widgets for multi-chat, some leading edge funtionality in form of video chat, plus many improvements to the existing SAP Contact Center capabilities.
I will also release SP9 hotfixes page in few hours here in SCN.
Regards,
Jukka

Hi Jukka,
I really appreciate your work on organizing hotfixes in tables in separate pages. It makes our life much easier, comparing to previous regular searches for new hotfixes in SAP Support portal.
I was waiting for one very important improvement in SP9 (promised by SAP Support), but do not see it in release notes. Shortly saying, it is related to SIP PING option configured for a specific gateway. If I activate it and set “Number of retries before set as unavailable” – it really set the gateway as inactive after 3 ping, as configured:
TRC> Options ping - sip gateway 10.0.0.10 status is changed to inactive
But after that it routes a call to it again and again, like it is active. Full description with logs and pictures is in incident (0001035810 2015). Lloyd replied to me that the SIP option is not fully working in
SP7 & SP8.1 and there are still other outstanding issues. We are fixing this and the code should be in SP9 release, which is tentative for mid January 2016.
Can you please confirm that SIP PING option was also fixes and improved in SP9?
Best Regards,
Alex
Hi Alex,
Very pleased to hear that.
I traced back your case and seems like we forgot to add your incident number to release note document. You could anyhow found following text from release note:
"If the trunk became active/inactive and sent the active/inactive event after this configuration change, CD could offer calls to incative trunks and ingore active ones."
That is refering to fix you are looking for. It could speak about SIP PING instead of active / inactive but that's how it is now.
Jukka
OK. Thanks. I'm glad to hear that it is fixed now. I was searching for it in other chapters and couldn't imagine that it is under 4.15 System Configurator
The OPTIONS Ping function in SIP trunks could be used for monitoring the state of a trunk but it did not response to options sent by the other end. Now the support for incoming OPTIONS is added as well.
This also sounds very promising and is exactly what I need!
Thanks for confirmation!
Alex
