You can default the profile in IA05/6 by adding a new parameter to your user-id for "PIN" via transaction SU3.

Through OIL6 (Profile) you can make default for Usage and Status.
You need to use this Profile which creating in IA05

In fact this is a good question. Many times I too felt the need of having such defaults here, but never tried to have. It seems I got the answer through your question now. It is this way:
Assuming this is for individual convenience (usually), I hope this solution suits to you. If you want it for global use then, perhaps Screen-variant (SHD0) is the way. (Obviously, the above method should work for setting default values in other screens too)

SHD0 tutorials have been already referred in the other thread. In fact is process which is required to be learnt through such documents only. Also I haven't mastered that subject. To me for tcode such as IA05 (not very frequently used and not everyone is authorized) the individual settings should suffice. This is unlike other tcodes like IH01, IW28. However if it is done through Screen variant / Transaction variant (SHD0), your global requirement might be addressed. Please note that this is done in ABAP client and transported. For an ABAPer this should not be a big job.
