MD04 error when trying to display a customer order

Hi,

I executed MD04 for a material then I clicked on the column MRP element to display a customer order.

After this system replied with the below error and doesn't display the document:

Selected function cannot be used for the element

Message no. 61111

Diagnosis

The function you chose is not possible for the MRP element you selected.

System Response

The system cannot carry out the function you chose.

Procedure

Select a different MRP element and then choose the desired function.

in material master I can see as MRP type ND no planning and as Availibiliy check 01 "Daily requirement"

I verified the sap note but there is not any solution, do I have to change something in material master?

you go into your material and check what ATP indicator you have entered,

then remember it and check customizing OVZ2 if the checking group has a summary indicator different from A.

If this is the case, then you eitehr have to change the setup for this checking group in OVZ2, or you need to assgin a different ATP check in material master

Ok, I set availibility check as individual requirement and this has indicator A

Now to solve in MD04 do I have to do furthers steps?

I also run in test mode report SDRQCR21 but it doesn't display any result for the material

Could be the solution to wait for the delivery creation and goods receipt posting?

The changes will only affect orders created after the change.

Create a new order and you should see the number in MD04, the old elements will stay as they are.

What is the name of the MRP element ?

The name I can read in that column is "CusOrd"

can you access this order item with VA03?

Sometimes MD04 shows items which shouldn't be there, report SDRQCR21 can be used to rebuild the index in that case.

You can execute it as test run, it will list incorrect items.

I cannot see any order number indication in MD04

Clicking on the button "Order report" I can read the following message:

No sales orders with MRP-relevant requirements were found

you can only jump to an order if the order number is listed in the MRP element.

Yours is probably a summary of several orders. This is decided in the ATP checking rule assigned in MRP3 view of your material master
