ESS MSS without portal on NWBC

Is it possible to run ESS and MSS on NWBC and enjoy all the functionality available on portal?

Hi Sarita,

Yes, you can very well run the ESS/MSS on the NWBC just as you do in Portal. This is available from EhP5.

Thanks Balajii,but another question arises asthen we don't  need to have to licence from SAP ?can we have all the functionalities which is available on standard portal?

I don't think you need separate license for NWBC. It comes as part of ECC from EhP5. All we need to do is activate the relevant BFs and services and start using it.

On this, you need to be specific on what you are looking from NWBC? As far as I know, you will not have KMC features on NWBC. Let me know what else are you expecting NWBC to handle?

please advise which EHP you are targetting, In EHP6 onwards all HR applications are in WD ABAP and hence NWBC can be used only instead of portal

it doesnt require extra license costs as compared to portal and much more economical to maintain
