Where to download NWDS 7.1 ?

Hi all,

I want to download NWDS 7.1 but not only the "90 days version". Of course I know link to the 90-days Trial/Preview version (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/webcontent/uuid/20877bcc-bb51-2b10-aa8b-8308ed488199 [original link is broken]).

I have already tried to find something at the sap marketplace (service.sap.com), but I cannot find a "FULL" installation file for NWDS 7.1, only for NWDS 7.0 I can find the full installation file.

Can anyone tell me where exactly (link!) I can download the Complete NWDS 7.1 installer? SDN or marketplace links are both fine...

Hi Harald,

the solution is actually based on a fact, and this fact is that we support only 32bit JDKs.

Please proceed this way:

1. download a 32bit JDK1.6 from here:

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/archive-139210.html --> select "JDK/JRE - 6" --> Press "Go" --> Press "Download JDK" (important, JRE is not allowed for NWDS, only JDK) --> select Platform "Windows" (not Windows x64, even if your platform is a 64bit one) --> accept conditions --> download the installer --> install it.

2. Change the SapNetweaverDeveloperStudio.ini and adjust its "-vm" paremeter accordingly.

3. start your NWDS.

what exactly would I have to change in the SapNetweaverDeveloperStudio.ini in order to get NWDS 7.1 running on an 64 bit system?

For anyone who mnight be interested:

1. Type https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/ce/ into your browser

2. Enter your sap marketplace user and password in the popup

3. Click on "Download latest NWDS_platform.zip release" and the download will start

4. Unzip and install... done.

Is there any other way to download NWDS 7.1? Please post all you experience here...

Hi Ravi,

I tries to install latest version of NWDS 7.1 on Windows7 64Bit, but I cannot get it to work. It always says: The installer cannot run in the 32-bit subsystem on a 64 bit platform... Any idea how to get around this?
