LCM109 Globally - Deployed Systems - Considering Performance of Single Instance Concepts
SAP user groups intensively discuss effects of single global installations. With an increasing number of IT cost-cutting initiatives, more and more enterprises evaluate the possibility of a single-instance which encompasses all pieces of software in one data center, even in one server. This lecture discusses how project members can evaluate the impacts on the performance KPIs (especially memory and front-end network), if such an endeavor is to be undertaken. It will also answer questions such as: Is SAP software able to process hundreds of thousands of customer order line items per day, with several thousand concurrent users, and two-digit terabytes of data storage?
