SAP Business Suite - Payment Card Interface (CA-PCI)

SAP Integration Scenario

"Certification for this integration scenario with the most recent version of SAP solutions is available only upon request, if SAP resources are available. Please contact icc@sap.com or icc-info@sap.com for more information."

CA-PCI provides remote function call (RFC) communication to SAP R/3. It can also connect to external financial institutions such as banks, credit card services, merchant services, and acquirers.

CA-PCI receives output data from SAP R/3 and converts it to the requested format of the financial institution. It sends the data using the designated communication method, obtains a response, and maps the response back to SAP R/3. It also obtains real-time confirmation of acceptance or rejection of charges tendered from the cardholder.

SAP R/3 must be customized to online or batch processing to provide and convert requested data structures to support this payment processing. If batch settlement is required, the interface program receives data, converts it to the requested format, and sends it to the financial institution using the designated connection method. After receiving a response from the financial institution's application, the data is converted to SAP R/3's response format and sent to SAP R/3 by an RFC client call.
