SAP Product Lifecycle Management- Quality Inspections (QM-IDI)
QM-IDI is a standard, open interface that enables the direct exchange of SAP R/3 quality management (QM) inspection specifications and externally processed inspection results.
The QM system is an enterprise-wide quality management system that provides comprehensive support for quality planning, inspection, and control across all supply chain processes - from purchasing, goods receipt, goods issue and production, to sales and distribution.
Using the QM-IDI interface, you can complete QM functions by integrating data from measurement instruments (such as gas chromatographs), laboratory automation or management, or other external subsystems (such as complementary inspection systems).
For more information, see the SAP Service Marketplace Quality Management Web site. Access to the marketplace requires a customer or partner S-UserID. You can also find more information about the QM-IDI interface in the SAP Online Help Library at within SAP Quality Management.
Note: For a list of already certified integrations for this integration scenario please visit the SAP Application Development partner directory and use the search functions in the tab "solution".
The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) highly recommends that ISVs and partners, who are interested in certifying an integration of their product with SAP solutions, begin with our page Getting Started with Integration and Certification that explains the SAP ICC services and describes the process how to obtain them. This page helps you select the correct integration scenario and contains technical information, streaming media presentations, step-by-step guides, and much more.
