How-to Store IDs for external Objects in Technical Resources

Integration of technical systems with Sales and Order Management in SAP CRM is a common challenge for customers. Often services in technical systems need to be activated on contract creation. Later in the contract lifecycle these services might have to be changed or deactivated, e.g. when the contract ends. Therefore it might be necessary to store the ID of such a service in the contract.
