Embedding YouTube videos in SAP Innovation Management
A campaign in SAP Innovation offers the campaign manager the possibility to define pages with arbitrary content. And a video often conveys information better than a long text.
On its page e.g. YouTube offers an easy way to embed videos on other pages.
Simple click on “Share” (below the specific video) and copy the code from the tab “Embed”.
What you get is the code for an iFrame like this
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/y93NBWbFh5Q" ></iframe>
Now the campaign manager can simply paste this into the embed video popup of his or her campaign page.
But as always when defining HTML content by ourselves, we need to consider the different browser and how they behave.
Using the code as it is, the Internet Explorer shows the embedded video on top of all other elements instead of integrated in the page.
To avoid this and to get a proper integration into SAP Innovation Management, you can use the wmode URL parameter like this
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/y93NBWbFh5Q?wmode=transparent" ></iframe>
