SAP IQ Cockpit - Changing Uafadmin Password

SAP IQ 16.x and above SAP IQ installer doesn't prompt for Uafadmin(SAP IQ Cockpit Agent) password.   Uafadmin  user is added with default password 'Sybase4me', which can be changed using following steps:

1. Encrypt password using passencrypt. passencrypt uses SHA-256 hash algorithm for encrypting password.

    -  cd $SYBASE/COCKPIT-4/bin

   [bin]$ passencrypt -csi

   Password: --------------------( enter password n plain text)

   {SHA-256:P7QA1dJQxGU=}y1aX/iJ8pVwOILugBPuAu1dIC7dVr4ArrYkt6JkjhIc=

    - Copy the encrypted password

2.  Stop SAP IQ cockpit and save copy for $SYBASE/COCKPIT-4/conf/csi_config.xml. edit csi_config.xml and look for block containing Uafadmn  account and paste the encrypted password inside the double quotes,  into value of field of password line

    -  cd $SYBASE/COCKPIT-4/conf

    -  cp csi_config.xml  csi_config.xml.org

    -  edit csi_config.xml

   <!-- Default SCC agent admin account: uafadmin -->

    <authenticationProvider controlFlag="sufficient"

         name="com.sybase.security.core.PreConfiguredUserLoginModule">

        <options name="username" value="uafadmin"/>

        <options name="password" value="{SHA-256:WNATpqw76zA=}GYeAKdTRiIh1VcqmWv1k/A2pcXSHfLUBr9boP03ArKE=" />

        <options name="roles" value="SCC Agent Administrator"/>

    </authenticationProvider>

     -  Paste password encrypted using passencrypt -csi

     -  After edit it will look similar to:

<!-- Default SCC agent admin account: uafadmin -->

    <authenticationProvider controlFlag="sufficient"

         name="com.sybase.security.core.PreConfiguredUserLoginModule">

        <options name="username" value="uafadmin"/>

        <options name="password" value="{SHA-256:P7QA1dJQxGU=}y1aX/iJ8pVwOILugBPuAu1dIC7dVr4ArrYkt6JkjhIc=" />

        <options name="roles" value="SCC Agent Administrator"/>

    </authenticationProvider>
