SAP Lumira - How to create time hierarchy having week level defined

There are specific use cases where it is necessary to report data at week level.Unfortunately, this is a missing level into Lumira time hierarchy, but it can be easily generated using dimension formula and custom hierarchies.

In this document I will show you the detailed steps for building a time hierarchy having a week level defined.

Let’s start from a Lumira document having a Date dimension:

Step1:

Define a dimension formula to extract the Year information from the date field.

Step 2:

Define a dimension formula to extract the Quarter information from the date field.

Step 3:

Define a dimension formula to extract the Month information from the date field.

Step 4:

Define a dimension formula to extract the Week information from the date field.

Step 5:

Define a dimension formula to extract the Day information from the date field.

Step 6:

Define your new time hierarchy as a custom hierarchy having all levels you defined previously:

Step 7:

Now, you can include your hierarchy into nice visualization and drill-down into it.
