From which hardware vendors are HANA systems available?
SAP allows customers to choose from a list of certified hardware vendors. There is quite a list of hardware vendor that partner with SAP to offer HANA hardware.
Please check the new Partner Directory that lists all available certified HANA configurations including Westmere and Ivybridge generations. On the overview page you will find on the left hand side a link to 'SAP Partner hardware certified for SAP HANA'.

Is HANA offered only as an appliance, or can already existing infrastructure assets like Enterprise Storage be leveraged for HANA system deployments?
Yes. SAP does not just support HANA appliance models but also more open architectures. Please refer to the FAQ page for the SAP HANA Tailored Datacenter Integration (TDI).
