How a Systematic Approach to Form Design Can Avoid Iterative Changes and Rework

Functional consultants are often involved in designing forms for various correspondence sent to business partners (customers, vendors etc). For example, invoices, statements, dunning letters, purchase orders etc. A form could be as simple as a single page letter just confirming a balance to a customer or as complex as an invoice, PO or monthly statement showing product details, pricing information etc. Various aspects and requirements are sometimes missed during data collection or requirement gathering that can result in expensive rework. Iterative changes and rework in form design can be avoided by following the systematic approach to form design described in this article.
