Settings to activate downtime minimization capabilities in SUM

Scenario

You plan an update of EHP, an SP implementation or an upgrade and want to use the offered downtime minimization capabilities in the Software Update Manager (SUM).
This article explains how to activate the downtime minimization capabilities in SUM.

Settings in SUM

The downtime minimization capabilities can be combined as needed. It is not mandatory to use it. It is a free choice depending on the cut over plan and need to reduce the downtime window.

The feature to import customer transports in the SUM is currently available on request. The settings shown in the demo are only visible when the feature is requested for your update project.
