Error Mapped user ID argument is null


How to correct error 'The mapped user ID argument is null' appearing in supportdesk.


In Supportdesk tool following error message is displayed
The mapped user ID argument is null
java.lang.NullPointerException: The mapped user ID argument is null.

Steps to reproduce error:

Run Supportdesk tool as per SAP note 937697


User is not correctly mapped in ABAP and Portal side


Run Portal and perform below steps :

            1.  System Administration
            2.  System Configuration
            3.  UME Configuration
            4.  User Mapping
            5.  Choose Modify Configuration
            6.  Choose "blank" for Reference System, Save all changes
            7.  Choose Modify Configuration again
            8.  Select <SID>CLNT<ClientNo.> in Reference System,Save all changes
