Troubleshooting LiveCache connection issues
Very commonly after major SCM upgrades(I.e: 5.1 to 7.0 EHP2), which also requires a major LiveCache upgrade(i.e: 7.7.x.x to 7.9.x.x), conectivity issues from SCM system to LiveCache DB might happen.
More often, shortdumps with the below message happen:
Error setting up a
secondary database connection
database system not possible with identifier "LCA".
Further narrowing down the error, by inspecting the relevant work process trace file, the following error is recorded:
B Loading DB
library '/usr/sap/SQ7/SYS/exe/run/dbsdbslib.o' ...
M *** ERROR =>
DlLoadLib()==DLENOACCESS - dlopen("/usr/sap/SQ7/SYS/exe/run/dbsdbslib.o")

(errno=8,Exec format error) [dlux.c 445]

In this example, system cannot locate the LiveCache client libraries or even the SAP Kernel database library(dbsl), which can be caused by wrong client version, wrong OS environment settings or even a crippled Client/Kernel installation.
To assist on the troubleshoot of this kind of problem, the following KBA was released:
