UDDI - SAP Developer Network (SDN)
Universal Description, Discovery and Integration (UDDI)
UDDI is the Web services standard for publication and discovery of Web services and their providers. Services can be categorized by means of well-known taxonomies for various purposes, for example, the interfaces they implement, the access protocols and policies they require or the application components that offer them.
SAP NetWeaver in general as well as the Enterprise Services Registry in particular support UDDI 3.0 in order to provide standardized access to Enterprise Services Definitions and to enable an Enterprise Services Lifecycle Management.
This paper outlines features related to change management in UDDI registries that provide a systematic way to publish and find Web services that may be suitable for the development of business processes.
This paper discusses the strategic rationale for UDDI and analyzes its enabling role in the context of today's enterprise Web services applications.
This paper provides a concise overview of the UDDI standard and highlights significant architectural changes in the Version 3 specification.
