Using DB2 for Linux, Windows, and UNIX Table Partitioning in SAP Systems
Most database systems offer specific “data organization schemes” that can be used to influence the physical representation of the table data on disk. DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows offers three such schemes: Database Partitioning (DPF), Multi-Dimensional Clustering (MDC) and – since DB2 9.1 – table partitioning. This article explains how you can apply table partitioning for tables in an SAP system.
