Hi,

I am trying to test RFC connection but it is saying " program ID not registered" at gateway.

I registered in saprfc.ini file at gateway but still its not working.

Please let me know if you have any idea where should I register it.

Best Regards,

Tushar

Hi

make sure that you have also created a Sender RFC Channel in XI Intergration Directory with Same Program ID that you have used during creation of RFC destination.

Activate the Channel

And then again test the RFC connection

There is no extra step involve to register ur program id.

Just make sure that you have defined program id in both the cases... i.e RFC destination as well as the channel.

Hi Tushar,

Are you trying to setup RightFax ?

The "Program ID" field is case sensitive, it must appear EXACTLY the same in the SAP RFC(SM59) as it does in the non-SAP application. If this is a fax gateway you are trying to configure then the program ID would be your fax server host followed by a description eg faxserver.sapgate - the "faxserver" part must be reachable(ping faxserver) and resolve it's hostname from the SAP system.

I am not dure what is the setup you have in your env .

To register a progid

1.you have to have two separate applications

say one is sap and second is xxx

2.You have to register xxx applications prog id in sap.

3.you have to have both applications up and running.

4.It shall be a TCP/IP connection and register program id option in SAP system , define the gateway host and gateway service using sm59 .

5.The application xxx shall have information about sap system.

and then it works properly.

Hope it helps.
