Hi. See this thread for more ECATT info if you want it:

An alternative in SRM would be to use function BBPU_CREATE_ORGUNIT_AND_BUPA to create the org units in SRM and then BAPI_REL_CREATERELATION to create the relationships to the higher level org unit, but then you would still have to look at the users, not sure how you can create the BP and the CP and so on easily.

ECATT on the standard transactions will make sure everything is created correctly.

Dave.

Hi. The easiest way that I know of to load a flat file as HR data is to use an ECATT on transaction PP01.

Do you want to load into HR in the backend R/3 / ECC or into SRM?

If it is SRM, you can load all the org units using ECATT on transaction PP01.

Then you can ECATT on transaction USERS_GEN to load users into your org units.

If you want to load to R/3, you can use various function modules, HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA and BAPI_EMPLCOMM_CREATE being 2 useful ones, but I find it easiest to ECATT on PA30 or PA40.

Dave.
