Dear Venkat,

Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW)

An SAP system tool that supports one-time and periodic data transfers from external systems to SAP R/3 systems.

The Legacy System Migration Workbench facilitates the conversion of data to the necessary format.

Technologies supported include Batch Input, Call Transaction, Direct Input, BAPIs, and EDI.

The Legacy System Migration Workbench is only available as an add-on.

Additional data transfer tool: Data Transfer Workbench (DX-WB).

BDC

The processing mode for a batch input session.

Modes used for processing sessions include:

Display all records

Display for error dialogs only

Process session in the background

Process session on the screen
