Simply, you create party in Integration Directory and you need to map the "your XI party" name onto one of the following schemes:
016: Dun & Bradstreet Corporation
009: EAN - International Article Numbering Association
116: NMFTA - National Motor Freight Traffic Association
e.g.
Agency http://sap.com/xi/XI
Scheme XIParty
ID: Your_party_name
corresponds (ID is assigned by external agency):
Agency: 016
Scheme DUNS
ID: 012345678
Later you can use it in e.g. Receiver determination etc.
