My Oracle Version is 10.2.0.4.0 and as per note Note 830576 - Parameter recommendations for Oracle 10g which one of the option is more suitable for me

why it is 7 after the :? I am expecting it to be off or on. Thanks

Hi,

The explanation is on the metalink note 5040753.8:

The fix control value for 5765456 is a bit vector which can
  enable column group statistics to be used by the optimizer
  in 10.2 thus:
    bit 0 - use it for single table cdn estimate
    bit 1 - for group by (#of groups) estimate
    bit 2 - join selectivity

then 7 turns ON everything
