Hello everybody,
to my knowledge NWDI is mandatory for XSS BPs customization. The same goes for ISA (Internet Sales Applications).
However, as pointed out in this wiki entry
[https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/snippets/howtocreatecustomApplicationinE-commerce5.0without+NWDI]
it's possible to modify Internet Sales Applications without going through NWDI.
Is this applicable to XSS as well?
The reason why I'm asking this is that customizing through NWDI can be a slow process since every time a change is needed a new activity has to be created and the corresponding code has to be checked into the DTR.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I dont think its possible with out an NWDI to modify MSS-ESS.

Well, this means that in case of massive changes the whole thing would swallow up a lot of time to check the code out, amend it, check it in, let alone the huge amount of activities that'll be opened against the original coding...
Are we entirely sure that's the only way forward? Or is there any trick to work around this issue?
Yes Marco,
Its not possible to start modifications without NWDI in place.
Thanks,
