hi there,
the requried delivery date in my sale sorder is 08.08.2008, but the items in the schedule lines are showing as a CONFIRMED qty for the 10.09.2008.
We have
That indicates that your system has done "Forward scheduling".
This is the earliest possible date on which goods can reach the Customer.
Taking the New material available date , system has calculate this confirm delivery date through delivery scheduling.
Required delivery date is the desired date by the customer to receive the goods. I may or may not be able to meet this date keeping my different lead time in mind like, Transit time, Loading time, Pick/pack time, Transportation planning time.
So, system first goes for Backward scheduling and test whether the Required delivery date can be kept or not.
If it is not possible to meet this date then system immediately goes for Forward scheduling and gives a new confirm delivery date.
That is what has happened in your case.

Hi,
what do you mean have stock int he storage location? we have stock it must be in the storage location, how can i make the date to be sooner?
so if the required delivery date is the 08.08.2008, and I get a date of the 09.09.2008, how can i make the system bring the date closer, what transaction must I run?
Not possible to shift to earlier date.
This is the earliest possible date, if you are supplying from that plant. If you want to supply from other plant if stocke are available, check other plant.
System starts shipping processing from either the "Material Availability date" or the "Transportation planning date " whichever is earlier and calculates the earliest possible delivery date taking all lead times into consideration.
You can check all these date in your schedule line.
Go to the schedule line of the Item. Click on
the "Shipping" tab below.
Here you will find all details about the different date of delivery scheduling.

Check in your order document The RLT: Replinishment Lead time what you have specified.
Make No entry there.
Next Check the MMR there in the MRP3 screen see whether you have given any lead time for the procurements etc.
Now also check your factory calender. since Sunday the deliveries cannot happen in that case the system will propose the Later Date.
Also along with this is there any other thing activated such as route determinationand the Packing and transportation.
Then the delivery creation schedule will also depend on the same.
regards,
SAP SD
