HI,

I have created an ABAP WD Application with 2 Views and there r navigation between the views of the same application.

If I upload my Appl. in Portal should i register for events that happens within the application like navigation, data retrival, also it uses service call for data retrival from DB.

Kindly advice.

Thanks,

you can define navigation among views of the same application by using navigation links -- you wouldnt need portal eventing there. Portal eventing is used to trigger changes in another view based on events raised in the first view.

Refer to this pdf

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/cfb80249-0801-0010-3eaa-829afeac...

I guess it might help.

Thanks,

Hi GLM,

Thanks for ur reply.

So, What I understood is if navigations is within same application we donot need any portal event registeration or eventing..

I am fine with the navigation and stuffs of WDA , when it is of integrating my application, which has 2 views and navigations within those views, into portal iam not clear with those..

It would be fine if you state me an example where portal registeration and eventing should be taken into ..

Thank you.
