Printing Problem : Alternative methord other than CUPS

Hi,
i am facing printing problem on linux system . i am not interested in using cups mechanism for my printing . Is there any alernative method for printing other than cups , if yes than please let me know how to configure it or is there any command to use SAPGUI-> Option-> Preference->Desktop->Printing .
Please let me know if you need more information .

Are you talking about local (frontend) printing?
you can use LPRng also instead of CUPS.

what's SAP version you're using ? you can start using frontend technologie for SAPGUI for Java version 7.00.
Create Output device with
Access Method : G
and Host Printer : __DEFAULT
More advanced, you can use spool management server (if your company want to invest it)
