My company is working on a new MII 12.0 implementation and, being that we run our ERP environment on AIX/Oracle, we are looking into possibilities other than the traditional Windows/SQL Server MII platform.
Is anyone out there running MII 12.0 on a AIX/Oracle platform? Anyone considering it?
Thanks,
Randy
Not AIX but I have had clients running MII 12 on Linux/Oracle.
They started with the Windows/SQL platform but switched on to Linux to add more horsepower (read JVMs) to the application.
One of the major reason for this decision was a centralized/single MII environment (plus as you mentioned , ERP was on the same platform so they had the necessary skills).
Now if you are looking @ a distributed architecture then people tend to lean more towards the Windows/SQL platforms as they are comparitively easy to administer & manage.
So I guess lots of factor to consider before you take the final decision.
