Hi all,
I am quite new to DMS, can u help me in creating a public folder.
Please guide me in a step- by step procedures.
Thanks
Anni
Hi Anni,
do you want to create a public folder in EasyDMS or in the R/3 system?
However you can create one public folder in your system. Therefore please create a document with name 'edipublicrootfolder' in your R/3 backend system (use transaction cv03n).
Best regards,
Christoph

Dear Anni,
For creating folder stucture u hv to use easy DMS if u r using Easy DMS.
if U working on R3;
thn goto DMS
Use tcode cv03n, open the document for which you want create folder.
goto document browser tab for perticular document, here u can create publeic as well as private folder and add documents as per your reqt.
In this u can also give authorisation of folder as per reqt.
If u hv any further query, please revert back.
give points if u find above information useful

Will it come only for the public folder which can be created once?
Can we havw restrictions for viewing of doocuments in the public folder?
Additionaly can u give me step by atep process to create a "Browser view" in the "Doc Browser" tab?
Thanks
Anni,
Hi,
Actually I m working on SAP DMS, but I m unaware of Browser and ACL Authorization functionalities. We are using SAP gui and not EasyDMS, what are the benefits and limitations of these functionalities (Browser and ACL Authorization).
Kindly give your comments to come out of the confusion.
