Inserting multiple transactions into S_TCODE

Hi,

Is there a quick way to add authorizations to a role with auth object S_TCODE.

I can only cut and paste 7 at a time.

Is there a way to upload and download a list of transactions?

In the transaction screen of the PFCG menu tab you can paste 16 at a time.

Actually, that's where you should enter them, rather than directly into S_TCODE.

Hi,

inserting tcodes directly in S_TCODE is not recommended. This doesn't bring SU24 values of the transaction code.

Add tcodes in the Menu, that will automatically pull SU24 as well as S_TCODE will be updated accordingly.

This also helps in case of upgrades.

Hi,

If you are adding many transactions, try to break them into intervals, if possible.

Ex: SM* - ST*

If you have a list of tcodes which cannot be given into intervals, you need to add them ... press F4 (possible entries) select all you want to add or go on pasting the 7 values at a time ...

One tip: if you want to add the same transactions in S_TCODE for other roles -> after F4, in the pop-up, you will find an icon "insert in personal list" (next to "find again" icon).

once you have all the transactions in the personal list, you can add them to the other roles too.

Hi,

Adding transactions to Menu tab of PFCG would automatically result in S_TCODE having those transactions.

So you can automate this process by creating eCATT script to add transaction in Menu tab of pfcg and running this script for each role.

SAP developement is aware of the limitation. they are working on a solution to be able to insert more than 7 values at a time and also for upload-functionality in the popup.

Yes, but I have the disappointing news, that it is not clear now, when this feature will be availalbe.... I think its rather a question of months and not of weeks...
