Hi ,

Can any tell me wt r table & template in Smart Form.

In template No. of rows and columns are fixed while in table column are fixed but rows are not fixed.

Table : Display table contents.

The Table can have variable number of rows

Template : Displays texts for table cells of a static table

The Template contains a fixed number of rows and columns, where the output is fixed.

Hi,

Template is used to display the layout and size of the table before the you run the application.

For this template is called Static table.

The difference is that template can contains a fixed number of rows and columns where the poutput is fixed but Table can have variable numver of rows.

Hi,

Both table and template are used to display data in tabular format... the difference is template has fixed number of rows to be displayed whereas table rows are dynamic.

There is also difference in displaying the data in text element

we need to mention the row and col numbers explicitly in the output options of the text node in template whereas you create text element under each cell node in tables

emplate:

Output of a table containing static data. That is when u know the amount of data u have (i.e. fixed data), you use a template.

Table:

When the data is of variable length and u dont know how many record lines u r going to have, you use a table. But u can also use the table as a dynamic template by unchecking the 'loop at internal table' check box in the data tab of the table node.

In brief, template is for static data and table is for dynamic data.
