Drop Down List for VC - getting a item for ALL values

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to get a value in the dropdown list in VC for ALL of the listed values. so if I have a list of customers I would like to have one value for ALL customers. is there a way to do that in VC...thanks, Pete

Hi,

You can do that by adding a static value "ALL" in the static entry list.

Thanks for your helpful comments. I will investigate this approach in the system and see what I come up with. To clarify my question a bit more I have a list of customers and rather than choosing just one customer I would like to be able to have a value called ALL that would give me the full list...

BEFORE: Jones, Smith, Anderson

AFTER: ALL, Jones, Smith, Anderson

I'll update this today...thanks again...coming from the hard core BI Side I was going to look at the actual data load for the master data and work something there but this is definitely more logical...

Hi Peter

You can select the column you want to have a fixed value for and right click the context menu will appear choose configure and enter the value you want as a constant in the value field.

It is is not clear what you would like to achieve with dropdown!

Taking your example: This is the list of cusomters:

CustId(Value) CustName(Name) - as per dropdown

1. SAP

2. T-Mobile

3. Sony

..... etc

And would you like to have the custID has same for all e.g 1 ???
