Unable to create the new solution in Solman

Hello all,

I'm ubale to create new Solution using the transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER.

After choosing the button New to create the new solution and entering all required data when I choose the button Continue nothing is happenning. I'm not getting any error/warning it's simply sitting idle.

My Solman version is ST 400 Patch 09

Please help.

Hi Ben,

This SAP Note will solve the issue:

[1008717: HTMLViewer: Postdata of length more than 255 gets truncated.|http://www.service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1008717]

You should consider implementing the latest Support Packages for SAP Solution Manager.

I had the same Problem.

You must Patch you Solution Manager Until Patch11.

Then you can create a new Solution

The Support Packages you must install are:

SAPKB70010

and

SAPKB70011

and

the CRT´s for the Packages

I have already download two support packages. But I don't know how to use two packages with format .CAR file.

Hi Thao,

After downloading the patches, you will need to uncar (like unzip) them and apply accordingly.

Do remember to check the side-effect notes available for those patches at service.sap.com/notes.

and regarding how to apply patches..good documentation is avail at service .sap.com/patches.
