To Download from service.sap.com

Hi,

I need to actually download from service.sap.com. I am trying Installing the SAP Cryptographic Library for SSL.

The help says

"Obtain the SAP Cryptographic Library installation package. It is available on SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/swdc under Download ® SAP Cryptographic Software.

This package contains the following files

● The SAP Cryptographic Library (sapcrypto.dll for Windows NT and higher or libsapcrypto. for UNIX)

● A corresponding license ticket (ticket)

● The configuration tool sapgenpse.exe

But when i downloaded the file .. i get only 2 file with .car extension which is not identified.

Please tell me where is the error.

Hi,

SAP compress most of the files either as a .CAR or .SAR format. You have to decompress it.

1. Download the file SAPCAR.exe from marketplace.

2. Go to the file path were the .car file is stored in the command prompt.

3. Use the command SAPCAR -xvf <your filename>.

Note that the SAPCAR.exe and the .car file should be in the same folder.

Hi Santosh,

Thanks a lot for your help.

But I am not able to find the sapcar.exe in marketplace.

I used search tool, but no related files are displayed.

While downloading the car files my download basket had the sapcar related file but the status showed-"not available".

Kindly guide.

Hi Kevin,

It is available in SDN. Dowload the ZIP file from this link https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/30ae6061-5473-2910-0f89-f0a42789.... In this zip file you can find the SAPCAR.exe file also.
