Hi,
1.plant to plant, storage location to storage location transfers come under Intra company transfers only, if u use it within same company code.u can configure the stock transfers in 3 ways.
A.one step : by using single movement type
Ex:301 for plat to plant
B.two step : by using 2 movement types.
Ex:303 movt.type is to remove the stock from plant 1.305 movt type to post the stock into plant 2.
C.by using STO: if u want to bill the customer
2. the main difference between intercompany billing and intercompany STO..
suppose, a customer ordered u 100 quantity of a line item.u r not having stock.then u will purchase the stock from other company code.this is called intercompany sales transactions..
suppose, before getting sales orders from customer u want to maintain some stock of material A in plant 1, which is available in plant 2 of another company code.u will purchase transfers this stock to plant 1 before getting sales order.this is called replenishment deliveries..STO is mainly used for replenishment deliveries..
hope it clarifies ur doubts..
regards..

Dear Venkata Ramana
1) An order from plant in a company code will be raised on another plant belongs to a different company code
2) Billing from plant in a company code will be raised on another plant belongs to a different company code
3) An order from plant in a company code will be raised on another plant belongs to same company code
4) Mostly MM, QM & PP will use transfer from one storage location to another location
5) Similar to 1 and 3
thanks
