Hi All,
I want to transfer time sheet cost from cost center to WBS element i.e. Project.
Take on Scenario:
I have 50 employees in one dept A. 40 Employees in other dept B.For Dept A cost center is 1000 & dept B cost center is 2000.
I have 2 Projects - 1. Car and 2. Truck.
Now 30 employees from dept A and 25 employees from dept B are working on Car project.
Other 20 employees from Dept A and 15 employees from Dept B are working on Truck Project.
All of them have booked time sheet. I want to transfer this time sheet cost for Car project. How will i do this? If i select cost center, i will transfer hours from all employees in one dept. and that is not true. I don't want to do that.
If i select personnel numbers, i have to select 55 personeel numbers at a time. and this i have to do everytime..not a good option.
Can anyone help me?

Don't understand why you ignore the other (Truck Project!) time sheet records?
Solution is you can create a variant (in T Code CATA), mention the personel numbers (55 Nos. in your case) and hit ControlS and you need to do this only once. To get back the variant for processing later hit ShiftF5.

I want to transfer hours for car project this week and for truck project some time later.
When i give 55 nos in CATA and transfer, system transferrs hours for both the projects for 55 employees.
My question is how can i transfer hours for 1 employee for one project?
In my case i have defined cost centers as such that one cost center is one dept. Employees from from one dept are all in one cost center.
So i just need to transfer them to Project bu t only for 1 project.

Try summarising all records in one CO document (4th option) in configuration node Cross-Application Components>Time Sheet>Settings for All User Interfaces>Data Transfer to Target Components>Fill CO Documents
This summarisation process groups together all records with the same combination of sender and receiver object (all records against Car Project in your case). The summarised totals each represent one line item in the CO document and you can mention this document number in CATA.

I am extremely sorry , if i have understood the issue wrongly , but i dont see any problem to achieve your requirement .
If your project structure for the Car project and the Truck Project have been freezed ,
you can just create two variants in CATA or the Program RCATSTAL ,
one with the date range for eg 2 weeks , and all the networks in the car project ,
and the other with a date range and Networks in the truck project
Schedule a background job for a frequancy of 2 weeks or whatever is optimum .
The hours booked on the repsective projects will be transferred .

U can map the requirement in this way, if this has to be booked as revenue cost on the project.
In the employee master PA30; u can maintain the parent cost center (i.e. Department).
whenever a person is working for a project he has to book the time against the project using CATS, wherein he will key in the following data
1) WBS Element
2) Sender cost center (Parent cost center)
3) Time / duration of work
If the cost is of overhead nature, then this has to be apporioned accordingly and using settlement it can be settled to the project.

I have already done this mapping and Time Sheet also booked by employees with WBS, cost center.
Now when i transfer hours for one employee, it gets transferred for both the projects. I want to transfer hours only for one project.
How can i do this? As this employee is working on 2 projects at a time.

I'm afriad this may not be possible, u cannot transfer the hours collected in cost object to another cost object. In this case, u can do only by cost settlement. By doing so the Work identity (i.e. number of hours ) will be lost, only the cost will be settled. Project reports shall not show the actual work done for the project If that is acceptable, Check with the CO consultant to apportion the overhead cost collected at a Cost center to different projects.
