how to create user id

Hi to all,

Please can anyone tell how to create a user id and passward in the MDM console and the autorizations to the same .

Hi Reddy,

The recommented way to create User credentials in MDM console is to first create a Role and then assign that Role to a User.

Steps:

- Rep->Admin->Roles->Rt click to add a new Role

- Enter the name and desciption of the Role you wish to create eg:Data Custodian.

- Admin->Users->Rt click to add a new user

- Fill in all the details of new user

- In the password space give a new pwd which will be encrpted

- And in the Roles assign the role you just creted using the dropdown.

- This info gets updated for the role as well ie the specific role will have this user .

Note:You can create any number of Roles and Users you wish but remeber to keep your rep unloaded when creating the same.
