SAP WM is what it says and WMS is a generic term for Warehouse Management System.

SAP WM--WM is configured in SAP R/3 system and somewhere it is called WMS also.

WM application can be within the same R/3 box where other application like FI,SD,MM is running OR it can be in a seperate box(called as decentralised WMS)

WMS--- Company's warehouse management system can be used either in SAP or in some other application
