My business is looking to make a serious investment in a Quality Management System. We are in the process of selling SAP but found one major gap to sell the entire SAP QM module.
Before we do a draft or complete flow or blueprint of our own, we do not have a sample to sell these processes to the business for them to even consider SAP.
We found many documents and presentations on CAPA, 8D, Notifications but nothing at a high-level that would Cleary sell it.
When looking at the SAP QM system it has integration points to just about every SAP module. To explain the capabilities in an email or a word document is not enough to really highlight the process capabilities of QM - SAP.
Since I know some companies have implemented the SAP QM system in various industries, we would appreciate if you could provide feedback on your experience and provide a sample of an overall process flow or blueprint (Draft / other) that has been documented to help us sell the SAP QM system as a whole.
The specific areas that we are working on are and we do not want to design the car before first inventing the wheel:
DEFECT's materials today we use QM - QN QN
Customer, Vendor and internal Complaints.
Engineering defects.
CA/PA - seems to fit into what action you have taken to resolve the above.
8D
Inspection Characterisic Processing
SPC
And Solutions & Lessons Learned for each.
These items seem to fit into the same process inputs and outputs at a high level, so sample documents that you have implemented would we an awesome help.
