Where to choose kind of RFC (normal, transactional or queued) in adapter?

Hello experts,

APO communicates via qrfc with other SAP-Systems ([link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm41/helpdata/en/5a/bcdf371babfa0fe10000009b38f842/frameset.htm]).

Where can I define the kind of RFC in sender and receiver adapter when I want to use XI to handle these (and similiar) RFC calls?

I can't find any settings for quality of service in sender or receiver RFC (XI 3.0 SP15).

Thanks and regards,

David

The RFC adapter channel does not have such option. The default behaviour is QOS BE, i.e, sync scenario. EOIO works as EO only and for EO some workaround has to be applied.

Hello all,

if I understand the sap pages correctly, an integration of scenarios where qRFC is required (example: APO<->ERP), is not possible via XI with the standard RFC-Adapter.

Not with RFC adapter. However, u may use ABAP proxy which may internaly call RFC.

Hi,

qrfc indicates the Quality of service provided. So if you used the RFC adapter and maintained the queues, then the adapters will support this Quality of Service.

The RFC adapter maps the RFC calls to XML messages and work accordingly to tRFC, qRFC(Exactly Once in Order)
