Hi,

we have

1. EP 6.0 SP14 installed on WAS 6.40 SP14 (X)

2. XI 3.0 SP14 installed on WAS 6.40 SP14 (Y)

3. NWDI SP14 installed on WAS 6.40 SP14 (Z)

4. NWDS 2.0 SP 14 installed on all the developers machines. (A)

Now, our XI team wants to upgrade XI to SP15. which means the SLD in that particular box will be upgraded to SP15.

now my question is if SLD on SP15 be used for my NWDI on SP14.

Could someone please clarify

Thanks

Hi,

In my opinion if you upgrade the XI box to SP15 which means the SLD will also be upgraded that will have no effect. You can use SP15 SLD with NWDI SP14.

Hi Sidharth,

Thank you for the reply.

how about transport XI content (objects) i.e. if XI is on SP15 and JDI is on SP14, is it possible to transport SP15 XI objects? I was going through a weblog which states X<<Y (where X is the SP of content and Y is SP of NWDI).

Thank you

Hi Reddy,

I feel here you may face some issues. As it is transporting XI objects using CMS is not very comfortable. We are facing a lot many issues as it is. It will be advisable that you upgrade the NWDI to SP15 also.

Thank you for the clarification sidharth,

so we are planning to

1. upgrade XI to SP15

2. upgrade NWDI to SP15

3. stay on the same NWDeveloper Studio SP14

4. stay on the same, EP 6.0 SP14.

Thank you

Make sure you import the correct base SCA's, depending on the SP level of the target runtime systems within your tracks.
