Time out error

Hi ,

I am new to GRC .

One of you our approver is trying to do risk analysis for a request but getting the below mentioned error

"Risk analysis failed: Exception in getting the results from the web service : Service call exception; nested exception is: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out

"

Can anybody please suggest why is this so and how can this be corrected??

Hi Pranab,

Need to work on the performance of CC ,it is not at all related to AE .

Try this...

Go to configuration tab in CC--> Risk analysis --->Performance tunning ,and increase the Number of Web Services Worker Threads from 5 gradually to 10-20-50 ,and similarly for RFC time out for Web Services / Background Job Worker Threads (Minutes) from 60 to 600.

Go to UME Screen>Web dynpro>Content Administrator -->Maintain JCO.

Increase the JCo Pool Configuration

Maximal Pool Size : 5 to 50

Maximum Connections: 10 to100

Connection Timeout (msec.): 10 to 1000

Maximum Waiting Time (msec):30 t0 300

Hi Pranab,

I doubt the Web Service links you provided in the configuration.

Check the service links against the Web Services Navigator.
