HI Gurus,

Can u confirm me whether we can find cost centre in sales order header.

Dear Anand

No you wont find Cost Center in sale order but you can see profit center for a material in sale order.

Yes u can find the cost center in sales order header account assignment tab.

Orders are assigned in costing to either a Business area, profit centre or a Order based on the way you set it up. Based ont his the postings are done and managed that way,

Cost centres are assigned to profit centres and activities to cost centres in Production.

The former is a pre-requisite for yor costing how you want it done. IN the case of Make to order, the entire costs are posted to the sales order and hence order based costing is done. similarly for the rest.
