NW 7.0 SP14 or SR2 installation

Where do I find the installation master, to install NW 7.0 SP14 (or SR2) ?

The intention is to build a ASJava/EPC/EP system on 32 bit win2003 server. So the latest (SR3) downloads cannot be used.

Thank you.

Thanks but No, I tried that already. It is "NW 2004s SR2 Installation Master Multi-SID MSCS Installation ",

but this is not for a MSCS landscape. but a single windows 2003 server.

Any other ideas ?

Hi Veb,

You need the CD 51033511_11. But it's listed in the same place as Shaji mentions. Just look a little bit further down.

Henk,

That is SR3 install master, and it allows only a dialog instance install (server is 32bit win2003).

What are the other options to build a EP7 system on it ? (for a quick POC, but EP6 will not do).

Also, will solution manager (or key)be required, since after demo (if it goes well) system will be taken down and re-built on proper h/w.

Thank you.

Hi Veb,

The installation of a Central Instance is no longer supported on 32-bit OS's starting with NW 7.0 SR3; you can only install Dialog Instances on them. See for example SAP Note [1052298|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1052298], [1108852|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1108852] and so on. So you'll have to get your hands on SR2 or lower, I'm afraid, and then patch it to SR3.

Concerning your question about Solution Manager: yes, you require a key from Solution Manager for your installation. SAPinst doesn't make any difference between "test" installations and "real" installations.

Henk.

Henk, Thanks for the info.

The challenge is getting SR2 right now. I was unable to find it in swdc on service.sap.com. Hope someone can point me to it. [ waiting for dvds would be too late ].
