PPM Priority

Hi,

I have a material at a location that has 3 PPMS type P (PPDS) in APO system.

Th validity dates like below:

05/01/2007 to 12/31/9999

05/10/2007 to 12/31/9999

05/10/2007 to 12/31/9999

So, when it comes to planning, which PPM does the system consider??

Also in transaction SCC03, when I enter the product and location and type as P and click enter, a popup appears with 3 PPMs.

There is a column named "Status" and there are values 1, 0, 0 for the three PPMS respectively.

What does the status here indicate?

Thanks.

Hi Visu -

The system uses the "active" PPM. If the status is 1, its the active version. This is driven by the production version which is "active" or "not blocked". Please go check the production versions in R/3, the 2 other prod versions must be blocked or inactive.

the system also picks the first PPM which it finds if both are valid. If you mantain a ppm priority,(0 being higher), then the system picks the ppm with the highest priority.

Thanks

when you look into all the 3 PPMs you can find the status of each PPM individually. If you see all PPMs' status as active,

please check components of all the 3 PPMs and in R/3 check the Production versions (MM03)and BOMs in CS03. If there r any discrepencies, please check with your R/3 counterpart.

If you dont see any discripencies, then maintain the procurement priority for other PPMs (which are not in-sync with R/3)as 999 so that system doen not plan using these PPMs
