Customer Account group Change- XD07

HI gurus,

I created a cistomer in Ship to Party account, but when i try to change the customer group(XD07) to Sold to Part the below error is coming.

"The planned change is not allowed as the following field

groups would be masked by the new account group"

May i know what is the solutin.

Hi Sumith !

How did you solve the issue to that problem? was it because there was a purchase order and invoice created? Have you been able to change the account group finally ?

These warning mesages are because even though you can chage the Account group of a particular customer The Number range will not change to the changing account group.

Thus this would may lead to the confusion at the enduser level...

Hi

You can definitely change it. The basic purpose of changing account group is to convert the existing customers only. Please try to change the SH to SP and check.

Hello,

As in the earlier mail, the fields properties might be differing in the original account group and the new accoutn group. Check the filed control for both the account groups.

Guess the problem could be because may be some documents would have been created already with the customer... you have created...

Hi,

yes i have created one sales document, and invoice also has been generated.

if it is like , can't we cvhnage it?

Dear Sumith

I dont think you can change the existing customer account group once invoice is generated.

Hi sumith,

This is warning message only it will not a problem.

What the message you are getting that is information only.

Just you select the tick mark and you can proceed.

it is not a error.

If it is a warning message click enter and proceed. This is happening because the fields allowed in the SH might have been suppressed in the account group of SP.
