Dear all

My Query: I cannot create sales order with reference to quotation because Net value in quotation is zero. As we have to send sample as free to customer, the quotations Net Value should be zero.

If you create doc type FD with reference to quotation might solve your problem

What antima said is correct u have to consider all the pricing components even if u wnat to clear goods for sample u have to create excise invoice and paid the duty. U can not give 100% discount. Only u can save is sales tax by maintaining relevent tax code. And on Invoice u have to indicate " FREE SAMPLE-NOT FOR SALE-NO COMMERCIAL VALUE.

Hi Sandeep,

Even for samples all the pricing components needs to be taken into account, as a general practice companies need to pay ED as well for samples. For sample sales if you have to give net value as zero then incorporate !00% discount condition for total invoice value.
