transfer of master data

Hi experts,

we need to transfer master data like materail master and customer master from ECC to Xapps system using XI. I know that, if XI is not there we can do it through change pointers but if XI is there in between how do we do it??

Even with XI u have to use change pointers. The purpose of change pointers is to trigger the idoc. And even if u use a middleware, u should have in place a mechanism to trigger sending of data. The difference would only be in the ECC ALE settings which will be pointing to XI now.
